Buying a used NISSAN? Check the MOT history
Before buying a used Nissan, review the vehicle's complete MOT history and compare previous failures, advisories and mileage records with service documentation and its current condition.
A recent MOT pass does not provide a complete picture of a vehicle's condition. Previous failures and recurring advisories can provide useful context when assessing a used vehicle.
Mileage should also be reviewed chronologically. An unusual mileage change does not automatically prove a problem, but it is something worth investigating and comparing with service documentation.
The MOT history should therefore be considered alongside service records, invoices, vehicle condition and, where appropriate, an independent inspection.
